Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Hamag mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "App"). We take your privacy very seriously, and this document explains how our application operates and ensures the security of your data.

1. No Personal Data Collection

The Hamag App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal identity data. Specifically:

  • We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or device identifiers.
  • No account registration or login is required to use the App.
  • We do not track device activity, telemetry, or behavioral patterns.

2. Server Log Data

Like most database backend systems, our server hosting the API (PocketBase) automatically collects standard network request logs when the App communicates with it. This standard logging includes:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address.
  • The date and time of your request.
  • The path of the request (e.g. which image or file list was requested).
  • Basic technical details such as your device operating system or browser identifier (User-Agent).

These server logs are collected solely for diagnostics, monitoring service health, preventing abuse, and general server maintenance. We do not link this network request log metadata to any specific individual or user profile.

3. Device Permissions

The App requests minimal permissions necessary for its primary functions:

  • Internet Access: Used to synchronize and download reading materials and images from our secure server (https://hamag.org). This synchronization is strictly one-way (downloading contents only) and does not transmit any information from your device back to the server.
  • Storage/Gallery Access: Required only when you explicitly choose to save an image to your phone's photo library ("Save to Gallery"). This permission is strictly limited to writing the selected file to your gallery. The App does not access, read, or scan your existing photos, videos, or other files.

4. Caching and Storage

To improve loading speed and reduce mobile data consumption, the App caches synced images locally on your device. When content is removed from the server, the App automatically reconciles and physically deletes the corresponding cached files from your phone's local storage.

5. Third-Party Services and Advertising

To deliver a premium and clean user experience:

  • The App does not contain third-party advertisements or ad networks.
  • No tracking scripts, analytic toolkits (such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics), or telemetry platforms are embedded in the App.

6. Children's Privacy

Since the App does not collect, store, or transmit any data of any kind (aside from standard server connection logs for system health), it is inherently compliant with children's privacy regulations (including COPPA and GDPR). The App is safe for users of all ages.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
